If Couples Reviews had a long, lost sibling, it’s TheEroticJourney.com. A 100% FREE site dedicated to couples-friendly erotic photos and sexy writings, TEJ, as it’s known, is a Webzine that struck me as a unique and reader-driven site focusing on an egalitarian celebration of all things sexy. It’s not your usual, run-of-the-mill website, as a quick visit will provide.

As opposed to the Web’s common “porn offerings,” TheEroticJourney is more about quality than quantity — and it shows. With the exception of the very sparse monthly “freebie” galleries from paysites like Hegre-Art and ForTheGirls.com, TEJ is packed with more “mind-fuck” material than anything I’ve seen lately.

This is a well-traveled website by its fans, and they’re many and precocious, submitting monthly erotic stories and their own photos, which are featured in easy-to-navigate thumbnail galleries. Each story is well-written, and from the samples that I took in, certainly got ME a bit horny!

The photography is, as you can imagine, extremely amateur, which is its appeal. For those voyeurs out there who enjoy AUTHENTIC shots of real, next-door-neighbor type people (or grocery clerks, or receptionists, or PTA mothers/fathers… not glamour models), then TheEroticJourney is sure to please. While it’s true that there are other, larger-volume sites out there featuring home-made porn photography, the sparser offerings on TEJ are captivating and alluring nonetheless.

I have very few gripes with this site, which touts itself to be even more dialup-friendly than ever. The site is quick and responsive, but (and this is likely an un-reproducable issue) I experienced some browser rendering issues. For instance, the main “front cover” of TheEroticJourney, as it’s a “Web Magazine” is, not surprisingly, a magazine cover type of graphic. Some of the text got a little jumbled in my browser (32bit Firefox running inside 64bit Ubuntu Linux at 1440×900 resolution) and I was disappointed because I really DID want to read all those little “teaser” quips. These are MINOR annoyances, and by no means enough to keep you away from TEJ. I mean, really.

What I like best about TheEroticJourney is its decidedly non-commercialized, homey feeling. It’s extremely couples-friendly, with its consistently arousing presentation of the web’s best free and paid adult content. Its wonderfully unconventional concentration on MIND-FUCK over EYE-CANDY is refreshing as well, and I’m finding myself having trouble from reading the site to get this review written. Now, that’s a testament to its quality.

Visit The Erotic Journey

When Alain and I received a request to review TheEroticJourney.com, we were more than happy to look into it.

The Erotic Journey is a free site written by a married couple, Sky and “Lady A.” They offer a plethora of tasteful erotic material for all types . . . from erotic stories, to free porn galleries (naked men and women, yay!), to musings on different sex topics, and– best of all– real user-submitted content.

The site updates in “issues,” like a magazine. TheEroticJourney.com last updated in January, but we talked to the webmasters and they’re promising a brand-new issue soon. This review, then, will focus on the current issue on the site.

To the right, there are links to a handful of reader-submitted erotic stories. The writings are sexy, raunchy, and smart. There was a great little story called “Hillbilly Humpin’” that should bring out the Southerner in anyone.

Below and to the left is a section of user-submitted erotic photos. These run the gamut of one’s erotic imagination. There’s one section called “Erotically You,” with tasteful amateur/reality pics of guys and gals of all shapes, sizes, classes, and colors . . . folks just like you and me. There’s a few other sections of photos including foot fetish pics, flashing pics, and one part called “Pictures worth 1000 words.” This very cool section has erotically-inclined writings to accompany the photos, which really heightens the erotic journey, so to speak.

To the bottom right, you have sponsor-hosted free porn galleries from sites like For the Girls and Hegre-Art.

The kind folks at The Erotic Journey also provide archives of their past photos from other issues.

The site isn’t huge, but it’s very thoughtful. One thing I really, really dig about TheEroticJourney.com is that Sky and Lady A actually post their own photos, too. Gotta give respect to that.

I do think the layout could be cleaner. I guess I had some trouble figuring out the archives especially. I’m also not a fan of white text on black backgrounds– it temporarily blinds me, but that’s my opinion.

Overall, if you’re looking for more free, couples-friendly erotic stuff to open your mind and your legs, I recommend The Erotic Journey.
