Donny’s Girls is dedicated to TRUE amateurs, according to the promotional tour. Donny isn’t kidding… these are real girls-next-door, amateur chicks that you’re likely (sometimes lucky) to see moseying through the mall, grocery store, or post office. Some of them are "eh," but as is expected with amateur girls, they come in all shapes and sizes.

Donny does a great job capturing the regular women of the world here. His photography is a few notches above "amateurish style," and his lighting techniques are much better than what you’d expect from an amateur site.

Amateur women doesn’t equate to amateur photography or website navigation… Donny’s Girls offers, for the fans of (mostly)-naturally-breasted, sometimes-hairy-pussied women, a great value. With daily updates, there’s always something new to see and do here without being hit with all kinds of bells or whistles. It’s simple and it’s full of what you’re there for (naked chicks).

There is a model directory that features not only every model (there are 300+ from what I counted, probably more) and her respective photosets, but also her videos. It’s nice to see everything lumped into one place like this, though I would’ve preferred an option to click a button and see a page dedicated to that particular girl. This missing "see all her photosets" function is a detriment that could make "good" navigation, "great."

The video is good quality, featuring Quicktime format for the recent stuff (yay) and Windows Media Player format for the earlier stuff (crap). I say ‘crap’ for WMV format not because of the quality, but because it’s that proprietary Micro$oft crap that gives some hassle to us Linux (or Mac) users.

Anyway, I digress. Donny interviews the girls in the videos, most of which are softcore in nature. I saw one of a busty brunette taking a shower and found the dialogue to be adequate but not overbearing like I’ve seen in other "interview" videos. Thanks Donny, for NOT ruining a perfectly good video with senseless, distracting yapping.

Donny’s Girls has some nice extras, like a "Test Shoots" section and a members’ forum where lots of people post their questions and comments for Donny.

It’s nice to see a site that actually gives a shit about what their members have to say, and aren’t afraid to have the bad right out there with the good. That’s more than I can say for other sites, who claim to care but really only collect member comments privately and use the good ones for "testimonials."

All in all, though a couple of minor things are missing, like a search engine, I found Donny’s Girls to be a great site dedicated to the beauty of everyday, girl-next-door amateurs. Most of the girls are quite pretty, but the real beauty of this site lies in its wide range of girls, from somewhat-homely to downright drop-dead gorgeous.

Yeah yeah yeah, you’ve heard the whole "amateur" pitch . . . and if you’ve joined some of these sites, you might end up seeing the same chicks you’ve seen on a thousand other sites, and often even in movies. Maybe I’m ultra picky, but I wouldn’t call those "amateurs."

Enter Donny’s Girls, a site claiming to be "true" amateur photography by Donovan Philips. Donovan makes no bones about what you’re going to find inside: real girls-next-door, of all shapes, sizes, looks, and styles. Some girls won’t appeal to you, some girls will. The whole point of Donny’s Girls is to capture REAL amateurs, not lie to you about what’s inside.

While I did see a couple of girls that have popped up on other sites, Donny’s Girls are hardly what you’d call porn stars, and they’re not the same girls that show up on EVERY other "amateur" site out there.

Donny’s Girls has hundreds and hundreds of girls. It’s hard to count because the model list is split up alphabetically, but I’d feel safe in saying he’s probably got around 300 models in there. There are well over 100,000 exclusive pics, along with almost 90 full-length videos.

Donny’s Girls updates daily. The site is divided into a few main sections. The landing page is called "follow up shots," and it apparently acts as a latest updates page (but it’s 17 pages long). Donny’s Girls seems to have undergone some improvements recently, which you’ll notice as you surf through sets.

Clicking on a model’s thumbnail takes you to her full photoset. In the newer sets, you’re given 2 pic sizes to choose from: big (1200×798) or super size (a massive 1600×1064– wow). The sets have an amateur feel– no fancy sets or props, just regular living rooms and kitchens and such. But the quality is surprisingly good and the pics are incredibly sharp and clear, at least in the newer sets. Sets can’t be downloaded, though.

It looks like Donny’s Girls has moved from WMV to Quicktime for the movies (which I personally prefer). The videos on Donny’s Girls are mostly solo interviews and masturbation, but you’ll find a few girl/girl and even a night-vision guy/girl video. Beware, though: videos are not divided into shorter clips, so you’re looking at a bit of a download with movies ranging from about 5 minutes to well over 1/2 hour.

There’s a fun site called "test shots," where you’ll find the real test shoots of girls that wanted to pose for him. Finally, there’s a very cool "About Donny" section where he gives a short bio. Interesting tidbit of info: he was actually raised a pastor’s son. What a turn around.

Donny reiterates throughout the tour and the site that this are true amateur girls: "One thing I really want to stress: I photograph anyone willing to pose, even if they aren’t traditional college age. This means you’re going to see models ages 18 to as old as I can find them. You’ll see beautiful girls, ugly girls, skinny girls, fat girls, and even an occasional guy thrown in for good measure."

And it’s true. There’s are hairy hippie chicks with massive bushes and hairy pits, ultra skinny chicks, chubby girls, really chubby girls, big boobs, little boobs, cute Black girls, cute Latinas . . . you get the idea. In other words, REAL girls next door. What a concept, right? Donny actually did it right, though.

A couple of complaints: with this many models and this much content, you really need a search engine and Donny’s Girls doesn’t have one. And navigating around the model index is cumbersome– the models don’t have a set homepage where you can see all of her content, and you can’t get to all of her sets from within one of her photosets. The navigation otherwise is okay, but the lack of ease of use means you’ll be hitting your back button a lot.

You’ll also notice that only the past year’s or so photosets are really good– older content lacks the quality of photography (which Donny readily admits).

I’ve got to say, though, that after seeing quite a few sites that claim to be amateur, Donny’s Girls blows them out of the water in terms of actually presenting amateur models. The girls are treated with respect, they seem to be enjoying themselves, and the stories that Donny tells about each model and of himself give the site a really nice personal feel.
