Book Review - Supersex

Supersex book
Supersex - Mandatory reading for couples and single folks who are serious about becoming seriously great in bed.

In a sea of relationship advice books and sex advice books, “Supersex” falls squarely in the middle of those extremes and delivers what I feel should be mandatory reading for any serious couple. It’s palatable, can be read in short bursts (or spurts, if you like), and perfectly organized such that you and your mate can both take bits and pieces of wisdom from it for immediate application to your love lives.

Enough loft though… here’s the meat: Tracy Cox, the author of “Supersex,” aims to take the average couple and turn them into sexual experts with each other, but she goes far beyond that to touch on aspects of sex as a single person, physiological myths about human sexuality, and wraps it in the most pleasant, subtly wry humor that makes her book both easy to read and tremendously informative. I enjoyed reading it as much as any book on any subject I’ve read. The amazing, soft photography interspurted throughout (sorry, I keep spurting) makes for a visually appealing book as well.

This isn’t “The Joy of Sex,” though, and reading it should come with the caveat of “not for the feint of heart.” It’s not over the top or anything, but DOES get through the ridiculous verbal padding our culture’s so fond of shrouding SEX TALK in rather quickly, efficiently, and yes, at times graphically. Not to worry though, the tone and rhythm of the book gracefully translates somewhat-taboo subjects into very understandable nuggets of wisdom.

If you and your mate are serious about learning a few new “tricks” and enjoying the benefits of more educated sex with each other, I think “Supersex” is a super book.

Tracy Cox is a prolific author of sexual topics. Supersex is an amazing little book, chock-full of tidbits, hints, and information that will make a great lover out of you.

Supersex covers pretty much everything– from basic anatomy lessons, to matter-of-fact lessons on oral sex, to suggestions on how to involve some more kinky acts in your sexual repertoire. You’ll be surprised at what you might learn. For instance, have you heard about this study that shows a correlation between a man’s ball size and his fidelity? Or that your eyebrows rise and fall and you blink a lot when you’re attracted to someone? Supersex has tons of these bits of trivia, along with plenty of feedback from real people, and a treasure chest of sex tips.

Tracy Cox’s attitude is frank, to the point. There’s no vomit-inducing fluff (so to speak) here, which is exactly what I love about this book. The chapters and sections tell you exactly what you’re going to learn about– for example, “Oh. My. God. - The definitive guide to oral sex,” or “What women worry about - and really shouldn’t,” and “How to touch a naked man” are just a few of the chapters you’ll find in this book. Plus, Supersex has tips for singles and couples.

Honestly, I cannot recommend this book enough. I turn to it for new ideas for me and for Alain. In fact, we had one conversation a while back where he asked for specific instructions to giving me good oral sex. I smiled, grabbed my copy of Supersex, and had him read pages 58 - 64. I have no complaints since then :)

All of this fabulous information is interspersed with tons of really pretty and tasteful nudie pics, too, so your eyes are entertained while you’re learning.

If you’ve got a bit of an edge to you, and you want a no-bullshit guide to being great in the sack, then Supersex is the only way to go.
